Das Billionen-Geständnis
Am 10. September 2001 hielt US-Verteidigungsminister Donald Rumsfeld eine Rede zum Auftakt einer Themenwoche unter dem Motto Acquisition and Logistics Excellence. Insbesondere eine Passage erregte Aufmerksamkeit:

Einige Reaktionen und Schlussfolgerungen der ‘Truthseeker’-Szene:
On September 10, 2001, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld held a press conference to disclose that over $2,000,000,000,000 in Pentagon funds could not be accounted for. Rumsfeld stated: "According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions." According to a report by the Inspector General, the Pentagon cannot account for 25 percent of what it spends.
Such a disclosure normally might have sparked a huge scandal. However, the commencement of the attack on New York City and Washington in the morning would assure that the story remained buried. To the trillions already missing from the coffers, an obedient Congress terrorized by anthrax attacks would add billions more in appropriations to fight the "War on Terror."
The Comptroller of the Pentagon at the time of the attack was Dov Zakheim, who was appointed in May of 2001. Before becoming the Pentagon's money-manager, he was an executive at System Planning Corporation, a defense contractor specializing in electronic warfare technologies including remote-controlled aircraft systems. Zakheim is a member of the Project for a New American Century and participated in the creation of its 2000 position paper Rebuilding America's Defenses which called for "a New Pearl Harbor." Auf politblog.net glaubt man sich stets gut informiert:
Diese Feststellung ist für den informierten Menschen an sich nichts neues, da das Pentagon schon 2001 selber berichtet hat, dass ihm unglaubliche 2,3 Billionen $ abhanden gekommen sind. [...] Bekannt wurde dies auf einer Pressekonferenz des Pentagons. [...]
2,3 Billionen verschwundene Dollars wären an für sich ein Riesenskandal, aber schon einen Tag später war es vergessen. Der Grund? Die Pressekonferenz fand am 10. September 2001 statt, und am 11. gab es andere Schlagzeilen als das Geld.
In einem Infokrieger-Blog wird die Politblog-Vorlage linientreu übernommen und mit einer unwahren Behauptung verknüpft (Details zum “leichteren” Zielanflug):
Verteidigungsminister Rumsfeld am 10.9.2001 das Verschwinden von 2,3 Billionen Dollar aus dem Budget des Pentagon eingestehen musste. Zufälligerweise befand sich die Finanzabteilung genau dort, wo am 11. September das fliegende Objekt einschlug, während Rumsfeld und Co. auf der anderen Seite des Pentagon sicher sassen, obwohl diese leichter zu treffen gewesen wäre. Noch ein Zufall?
Auf einer Konferenz der ‘Truthseeker-Gelehrten’ im August 2007 findet sich folgende Erklärung vom Scholar-Vorsitzenden Prof. Fetzer:

The West Wing was a peculiar choice for a terrorist attack, since it was in the final stages of reconstruction and was largely bereft of personnel and records. But one team that occupied that space was a group of accountants, auditors, and budget experts who were, I would surmise, attempting to track that missing $2.3 trillion. Und schliesslich kündigt Jason Bermas (mitverantwortlich für Loose Change) gegenüber einem ’Truther’-Studenten in einem Interview am 20. November 2006 folgendes an:
MJ: Loose Change is currently available in a few editions, what will the "Final Cut" be about and will it be very different from the original as well as "Loose Change: 2nd Edition"?
JB: Overall it will probably be about 80% different then the ones before it. We are going to drop some things as well as add new stuff to it. We will be looking at a whole new movie which we are hoping will be the biggest documentary/movie of all time. This is going to be in theaters nationwide in 2007 and we are hoping for a March release. We want to focus on things such as Cynthia McKinney, the congresswoman who asked Donald Rumsfeld about the war games that were going on, on 9/11 and the 2.3 trillion missing from the defense budget which Rumsfeld announced on Monday Sept.10th. Oder vielleicht nur eine weitere Frage, für die längst Antworten vorliegen?
Jedenfalls verdeutlicht der Querschnitt im Wesentlichen das propagierte Konstrukt der ‘Truthseeker’-Szene:
1. Am 10 September 2001 verkündete Rumsfeld das ‘Fehlen’ von 2,3 Billionen Dollar im Verteidigungshaushalt. Der geschickt gewählte Zeitpunkt dieser Mitteilung führte dazu, daß der Medienskandal ausblieb, weil am Folgetag die geplanten Anschläge stattfanden und die ganze Aufmerksamkeit beanspruchten.
2. PNAC-Unterzeichner, Zionist und ‘Rabbi’ Dov Zakheim war zu diesem Zeitpunkt als Finanzchef für das Controlling im Pentagon verantwortlich und hat mit dem ‘Verschwinden’ der Billionen Dollar zu tun - irgendwie, irgendwas.
3. Die Rechnungsprüfer unter Dov Zakheim wurden mitsamt vieler Dokumente durch eine Rakete gezielt beseitigt. So wurden unangenehme Nachforschungen und Enthüllungen vermieden - nachdem diese Rechnungsprüfer von Rumsfeld und Zakheim wenige Monate zuvor extra angestellt wurden.

Frank “Chuck” Spinney war bereits 1983 Thema einer Cover-Story des TIME-Magazins, die ebenfalls die nahezu undurchschaubaren Pentagon-Budgets und den fragwürdigen Umgang zum Thema hatte.
